About
Maggie Robbins
I’m a state-licensed mental health practitioner with 20 years’ experience treating adults and adolescents in individual talk psychotherapy. I presently work in private practice on Columbus Circle.
I hold a master’s degree in creative-arts psychotherapy and creativity development from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. In 2012, I received a five-year certificate in psychoanalysis and comprehensive psychotherapy from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, in midtown Manhattan, focusing on face-to-face, Interpersonal-Relational work.
Like most psychotherapists I’m a generalist; I have extensive experience with bipolar illness, however, and have made it a specialty. Other specialties of mine include depression, spirituality, dissociation, and sexual abuse. My style is to engage verbally—not sit in silence—but I know how to just listen when that’s what you need. I can integrate art therapy with our talk therapy if you’re interested in trying it.
